John “Patrick” Gannon, Class of 1971
1949-2017
Pat Gannon passed away June 10, 2017 in the loving care of his wife of 45 years, Carol, after a five year illness with Pulmonary Hypertension. Pat graduated from Walsh in 1971 with a BA in Business Administration that he credited for giving “…him the knowledge and ability to create successful technology companies and make lifelong friends.” It was at Walsh that Pat and Carol met and married in 1971. They raised their family in Canton and returned to the Walsh “cornfield” where they met to build their retirement home.
He proudly served on the Walsh University Alumni Board of Trustees and in 1991, Pat was awarded the Walsh University Outstanding Alumni Award.
“Pat's caring spirit was known to his family and friends full of compassion, integrity, laughter and a zest for life. There wasn't an entrepreneur who worked so hard and lived life with integrity and a generous spirit.”
